The foundation also curates collaborative and socially relevant exhibitions in its own Miro Gallery San Jose. The organization is committed to cultural enrichment and the creation of a vibrant urban lifestyle in downtown San Jose.

Miro Gallery San Jose

Miro Gallery San Jose is located in the Ground Floor East Tower of Miro (181 East Santa Clara Street) in downtown San Jose. The Gallery provides a myriad of opportunities for local artists to discover and display creative and innovative artwork. Its diverse programs support our local artists and community.

Exhibitions

Forms in Conversation

10/3/2025 – 12/4/2025

This exhibition celebrates both the diversity and continuity of Doug Glovaski’s practice by placing the square, line, and sketch series in conversation. It reflects how his art, shaped by the Bay Area’s cultural landscape, resonates far beyond regional boundaries while still speaking directly to San Jose – a city that has been part of his artistic journey.

Abstracted Elevation
East Meets West

June 2025 – September 2025

This exhibition presents two distinct interpretations of mountain landscapes through abstraction. Kan Shimada captures the icy, timeless beauty of Hokkaido’s mountains without specific landmarks, evoking a universal emotional experience. In contrast, Bob Nugent portrays mountains in Italy and New Hampshire scarred by human mining, exposing the environmental toll of resource extraction. Together, the works explore nature’s serenity and exploitation through abstract forms.
